Mom's Bra And Panties

Crowbar - Sever The Wicked Hand

Deep South going gets tough, there is no doubt! Great return for Crowbar, who are living with what for me was the most anticipated album of 2011. Sever The Wicked Hand is a beautiful brick in the face, well written, well played and well produced. What Kirk Windstein was an excellent musician certainly do not find now, so much so that shows off a great performance especially in terms of songwriting, really excellent as always. Among the best pieces of the disk, there are the slimy Liquid Sky and Cold Black Heart , Cleans Me Heal Me, The Cemetery Angels and Symbiosis, all moments of the highest order. In Sever The Wicked Hand there really is everything assault, wild, the openings more singable, smetallate the old school, going from slow and swampy sludge to end the doom hellish and dark. For lovers of this album sounds rotten sound a bit 'too glossy, it is quite crystal clear and precise, without distorting the sound sludge / southern. In my opinion, the choice is perfect, because all instruments have their own space and are blended to perfection, especially the guitar fantastic Kirk Windstein .
There is little to discuss, the Crowbar are a great band and this time it showed! They have class, and that makes a difference. But when they come to Italy??
We want to find some flaw? The opener is a bit 'bland and does not take me instead as I wanted to start immediately with the accelerator pressed. And then the artwork ... horrible! This can compete with the Karma To Burn, a band that covers tragicomic they will be.
For the rest ... chest out and horns to the sky \\ m /
